The Things You Are HAPPY About Thread.

I was happy the other day when nice people sent me a small package of some chip shop mushy peas ! People like us don't need the world, just a few home comforts every now and then !

Bachelors mushy peas! World Market sells them $2 per tin, pricey i know but it's a must have with home made fish and chips!

Tour of the Bathams brewery tonight. Fuck yeah.

Oh man, that sounds heavenly!

Photos and full review will follow.

After I've eaten me faggots and pays, obviously.

What was that pub you told me about that served up the best faggits?
I need to make a note of it in my fil-o-fax.

Mrs Del Woppio and I arranged for a private scan a couple of days ago, and it was brilliant. So thorough and detailed it was unreal. We were shown hands, feet, face (we wanted to see if there was a midline defect like Alfie has), brain, individual heat valves (!) and all sorts. Such a great service, and really helped relax us. She must have said ‘perfectly normal’ 12 times which was a great relief after the challenges that Alfie faces. We were then given a DVD of the scan, and separate disk with about 40 different stills on. A bit pricey, but the detail they can go in to at 13 weeks, of a 7cm long foetus is astounding.

And then yesterday, it was Alfie’s Christmas play. I was very lucky in that from my seat I had a lovely, clear and unobstructed view of the boy and got some lovely pictures, and when he saw me and gave me a massive smile and tried to get up and come to me it was wicked. I’ve no idea what the play was about as I was just winding Alfie up. Particularly good as I was stuck on the end of the row as ex-Mrs Del Woppio brought 6 guests with her – I had to hide my joy when two of them passed me their phones to take some pictures as they couldn’t see!

Go back and get another one done at around 23 or 24 weeks Del. He/she will have filled out loads and will look much more like a 'normal' baby. At 13 weeks they're a bit skinny aren't they?

The badness in me would've taken photos of the floor or the back of the head nearly in front or massively blurred. I'd've had so much fun right there....

Or changed the camera setting so it takes a picture of yourself. Perfect opportunity for some gurning practice.

How much was the scan, if you don't mind me asking?

Good to see that the Popes just logged in .

Fair enough, can't put a price on knowing for sure that everything is going smoothly, especially if you've had complications before.

We went NHS all the way and were pretty happy with the service. They couldn't tell she was breach until the first examination though, but fair play to the doctors and surgeons they did a brilliant job in getting her into thetre and slicing her open!

Watching my kids come into this world was like Reading v Wolves in the play off semi final in 2003.

So tense and nervous for what seems like an eternity (and there's nothing you can do about it except watch and worry) before all the worry suddenly vanishes in a moment of utter euphoria you'll never, ever forget.

Christmas dinner in the work canteen. Well bum.
