Been ages since I've been able to get out in daylight and good weather

After various delays (including the pandemic) tomorrow sees my two kids walking out as Wolves mascots. Putting aside the corporate hospitality BS element to all of this I think it’s fair to say that this is a moment I have be… they have been looking forward to for years. We go every game, I’ve obviously subjected them to the highs and lows of being die-hard fans not from the area, and it means way more than it should do to me. As I’ve mentioned before (yawn), I’m a Wolves fan despite being brought up on Teesside as my mother was born and raised in the Fighting Cocks area and my holidays until the age of 16 were basically either the Lake District or Parkfield Road. Grandad got me to Molineux in 1984 for my first game (beat Palace 2-1, Mel Eves scored). Since my mother passed away 11 years ago I’ve actually had no relatives in Wolverhampton, despite that entire half of my family being from there, so every home match is a way of keeping that link alive and bequeathing that legacy to my children. It really does feel like they’ll all be looking down tomorrow at kick off and I’m hopelessly emotional thinking about it.

If Nuno walks on to the pitch to wave before the match I think I’ll need some kind of medical assistance.

Not at all. Looks like a great day was had for you and your family. Lap it up while you can.

Some lad had Guedes as his favourite player. Come on now son.

Is that Carmen? I joked with the bloke next to me when they put her up on the screens that she couldn't have seen us play before as her score prediction was 3-2
That’s her. She had to guess back in July and I think I’d convinced her we’d have a new attack minded manager by mid October as a way of lifting the mood when thinking of the season ahead.

If you'll pardon my ignorance, if you're a Catholic, exactly what is that you are saying when you cross yourself and put 2 fingers up like Mout in that photo?
What do you say? Or Ask for?
I see tons of players do it....

He was probably just trying to get her to stop talking for a coupe of seconds to be honest mate.

You are praying to your god for help to be as good as you can be and dedicating your success to him (or her)... I would think...

Brilliant to hear that the reckless driver from America Anne Sacoolas has been found guilty of causing the death of that 19 year old kid Harry Dunn on his motor bike outside of RAF Croughton in Northants.
Seems she was done in 2006 for driving without due care and attention and then got done for ignoring a railway crossing signal (in the US).
She turned left out of the base, (Head still in America), crossed the road onto the wrong side, drove for about 400 yards accelerating all the time then failed to see Harry coming towards her around a blind curve and smashed into him head on.
She's been ordered to appear in person for sentencing in around a months time.
Though apparently there's no way that can be enforced.
Shocking putting the kids family through all of that for over 5 years.

For the first time since Feb 2020 there is no building/refurbishment/extension work going on in my road!

Getting a new job, was just at the point of thinking I may never work again.
Nothing exotic, driving a school minibus for a school in town, happy with my references and work history, unlike the last school that needed to contact firms that had closed 20 years ago.
Just need to start my DBS check and start date.

I’ll never be that cool as a bus driver

To be honest mate I was shocked you're old enough to drive, your writing style suggests otherwise :ROFLMAO:

Many congratulations mate, hope this is the right one for you

They seem ok, the woman escorting me through the school from the interview room to reception said as we were walking, we’ve a couple of other candidates to see but you’ve nailed that interview the jobs yours, well done, never had that before.
I think I’m not doing an actual school run AM/PM just trips, sports fixtures that sort of thing, its a bit of cash coming in, and hopefully it’ll fit round my freelancing bike repairs I’m doing for a couple of charities, the Dr bike sessions you might have seen advertised, or more likely not seen
