So it turns out Planet Rock ain't that great. It annoys me that these rock stations always ignore the best period of time for rock music - the mid to late 90s. Instead it's modern day and 80s.
There were sooooo many brilliant rock albums out in the 90s it seems crazy that dedicated rock stations seemingly ignore them. I guess if it wasn't mainstream at the time, then it doesn't get a look in, ever. Shame.

Right, Ive ignored this long enough, I listen to Planet Rock for at least three hours a day and most of the day at Weekends (Its on in my workshop), Yes there is the odd bit of modern stuff on there but mostly its 60's and 70's, THE classic period in rock history, I think the main reason they ignore (although there is as many 90's songs as there is new stuff played ) the late 90's is that, in my humble opinion, is that is was shockingly shite !!, I'll see your 90's and raise you the 70's any day of the week

Planet rock is shite, I don't think I've kept it on once yet because everytime I've put the station on they've been playing something old I have no interest in.

Kerrang was far superior even with their array of shoddy presenters/hosts.

It is. Sadly Planet Rock doesn't really appeal to the younger generation. Especially those interested in the utter rubbish that is Fall Out Boy, etc, etc.
