The things that I really, really like thread...

Got to hand it to you Mark - you put a real effort into making no effort and being generally miserable about nothing. It's a talent.

The above point still stands. Never mind mate - the footy season starts again in a few weeks.

It doesn't.

The annoyances may be 'nothing' to you, but that's because you like smart dress, warm weather and get all giddy about being invited to weddings. Thus they're not 'nothing' to me, if my hypothetical horror day described for you were to happen to me then I would consider it to be no bother as I have no real ill will against any of the elements of that day, Carling is piss but I wouldn't cry about it and then everything else would just fade into nothingness as I entertained myself chasing cats around, still be far from my perfect day though.

Mark does your girlfriend feel the same way about weddings, or would she one day like to tie the knot?

She's not mad about them, guarantee she'll complain about the extra effort of getting all dressed up, she'll get tired at some point through the day too. She cares a lot more than I do about the ceremony side of it, who doesn't?! But then she at least shares my view on the financial side of it when you've got people who could've put the money to far greater use in setting themselves up for a life together if they hadn't spunked it all on a big party.

So shes not mad about attending them, but would she like to get married herself one day ( whether it be a simple affair or something other)?

No idea, I know at this point she'd rather put money towards a deposit for a house rather than have a big fancy wedding but that's about it. She has no real desire for children as far as i'm aware, she likes other people's kids in small doses, more so when they're babies but no concrete plans for her own.

But how long have you been together? You say you have no idea, but don't you think it's something that you ought to know, considering how you are dead against getting wed. What if in a couple of years she mentions that she'd like to get married, and have children, that'd be a bit of a shocker wouldnt it?

Just over 6 years, I never said I was dead against getting wed, if I my partner really wanted to and I had a surplus of cash that I didn't really have anything to do with then why not, makes no real difference to me either way but it's not a suggestion i'd ever bring to the table. I don't see it as my duty to make sure people are expecting too much of me, if she's that determined to be married or have children then surely the onus on her is to ensure her partner is willing to facilitate such plans?

The sound of heavy rain on the fifth day of a test match that your team has won on the fourth.

Having saved one of my best bottles of red for later, in honour of my friend Ian who was one of the good guys in this world xx :wolves:

Sausage and tomato sandwiches. :)

How a smile can light up someones face. :)

When Mr Penguin secretly orders you the new blue Wolves top not knowing that you really dont like the look of it at all. Then when it arrives, its really quite nice!! I take back all my negative comments as its much better when you have it in your hands than in a pic. The fact that its blue, well blue suits me, and I'm back to being 'SUE 7 ' :)

Plans are in place for my road trip with my niece in August.A time to knock a few things off me bucket list :)

Lemon flavoured Twizzlers. :)

I know, it's the woman in me!

It really is rather lovely, and fits well too :)

It also goes to prove that ' Don't judge anything until you have it in your hands'

Kippers ( already boned) bread n butter for breakfast. I'd forgot how yum they tasted.

When you get asked by Mr Penguins work if I would kindly make a huge batch of my hot n spicy Chinese Curry & Special Fried Rice for Fridays lunch for the Auditors, Visitors and one Department.

I took that as a lovely compliment :)

Please send a portion to Hereford. That has really made me very hungry!

Early morning swims.

Pepperidge Farms Double Choc Chip Cookies.

Swimming has stopped me hip from 'cracking' and can now get me leg halfway round me neck again.
