That would be a dummy in UK, a pacifier in US, and a comforter in Ireland.Isnt the English language odd.If you go into a shop over here (not sure about the UK) and ask for a comforter, you'll pay around €5 - €8 for it and you'll walk out with a little plastic and rubber thing you shove in your baby's gob to comfort/pacify/shut it up.
