Stat time: With Federer and Djokovic both losing their opening match in Miami this week and Nadal and Murray both absent, this is the first time since the 2004 Paris Masters that none of the Big Four have won a match at a Grand Slam, Tour Finals or Masters 1000 tournament.

How many of them played in that event? Murray and Djokovic wouldn't have been there, Nadal won his first French title in 05 so may have been around, Fed already had won Slams by then so presuming he played.

It's always a bit of an odd one, indoors and right at the end of the season. Was a few years before anyone gave much of a shit about the Tour Finals as well.
