The Summer 2024 Transfer Thread.

The important thing is getting someone who can play out from the back the way we want to, I don't know whether Johnstone would be able to do that or not.

If Johnstone can't play that way there's no point kicking the can down the road for a season or 2 with him as a short term option while we find someone who can because in the meantime there's no hope of sustained success.

As a goalkeeper Johnstone is decent, he's definitely too good to be a back up at Palace. Homegrown as well which might allow us to get a different target in a another position.

Can’t think of two players further from each other in terms of attitude and approach. Loved Budgie.
Oh yes, absolutely the case. This fantastic interview helps us know Budgie and is well worth listening to in its entirety.

nope. turned us down last year, and failed to shine at brighton in any way.

He caused us problems in one game we played them last season IIRC.

Has Ivan Toney not left Brentford yet ? Haven't heard a thing about him .

Thought he was nailed on to move .

I presume they'll be playing Fabio Carvalho instead so might want to ship him out.

Makes sense given GON’s comments on needing PL experience in, but can’t see it happening.

Not when the bloke they signed in advance to replace him is now out until after Christmas.

Would like Wissa here very much but can't see why they'd do that. They're run far more sensibly than we are.

Last week he was being linked with a Saudi move.

Arsenal, Utd and Spurs all gone cold on him
