Yeah just about. Sa is a good goalkeeper it's the occasional brain farts that stop him being elite level.

Johnstone has got the brain farts too, without the occasional world class save that Sa has.

In terms of age, there is 2 months in it.

The important thing is getting someone who can play out from the back the way we want to, I don't know whether Johnstone would be able to do that or not.

If Johnstone can't play that way there's no point kicking the can down the road for a season or 2 with him as a short term option while we find someone who can because in the meantime there's no hope of sustained success.

As a goalkeeper Johnstone is decent, he's definitely too good to be a back up at Palace. Homegrown as well which might allow us to get a different target in a another position.

Would like Wissa here very much but can't see why they'd do that. They're run far more sensibly than we are.
