I don't know much about how that stuff works but assume there's some contractual obligation, so that even if Yerson hadn't really wanted to do it, would he have had a choice?

I'm not sure the Jake O'Brien interest will get very far. Lyon are holding out for a big fee because he has a "50% of profit" clause owed to Palace, who sold him for just 1m Euro.
