The Rugby Thread

Probably a few thousand. Maybe more than they can get in at Adams Park but London Wasps playing in bloody Coventry is a bit silly.

They were only called 'London' Wasps to differentiate themselves from the amateur element of the club though and Wycombe is a substantial distance from London - and they've played there since 2002. Rather like London Irish playing in Reading and London Welsh playing in Oxford. Rugby lends itself to much more of an itinerant nature for some reason.

Wasps said they looked to re-locate in the London area but there was not a suitable venue.

There were over 28,000 at the Ricoh for Wasps first game there. The place will be sold out when Leicester and Northampton are in town.

Subject to confirmation, it looks like the RL Challenge Cup draw will be taking place in one of my locals!

Ben Morgan breaks his leg.
Will be out for the rest of the season and is now doubtful for the world cup.
England will have to rely on Vinupola. Let's hope he stays fit as he's prone to injury.

Nick Easter has been in good form, personally i'd put haskell at no 8 (or back up to vunipola) and call up steffon armitage...

Toulon use Armitage as a number eight quite often. It's time for this silly, voluntary, self-defeating rule to end anyway - not one other country refuses to pick players if they dare leave their domestic game. If they were going to the rugby equivalent of the MLS and just chasing money in a shit uncompetitive league I could understand the reasoning.

I'd put serious money on Armitage being part of the WC squad, he should be there for the 6 nations too.

Courtney Laws injured and will miss first two games of the 6 Nations.
We're still dropping like flies. A growing injury list.

Farrell out for the whole tournament. I'd have been giving Ford a proper run anyway.

I think that actually helps England considerably. Just concentrate on Ford running the backline without distraction from the overrated Farrell.

One hell of an injury list for England now. It is bloody unfortunate.

Farrell is limited IMO rather than overrated.

Any other country would have had Ford and Cipriani in from the beginning.

Tom Woods injured, doubtful against Wales. Tom Croft recalled to squad. Christian Day added to squad as cover.

Barritt, Parling and Eastmond all miss the Wales game too.

Happy with Ford and his kicking is top notch too.

Bath are my new favourite team although I haven't been able to watch much of them as of yet

Bath have been my team forever as my dad had trials for them back in the sixties.

You should have seen them in the eighties with Stuart Barnes at fly half, Jeremy Guscott and Phil De Glanville at centre, Richard Hill at scrum half, Gareth Chilcott and Graham Dawe in the front row. They were a brilliant side then.

De Glanville was an absolute charlatan of a player.
