I don’t go to rugby especially England matches, Stephen Jones in the Times has done an article about the boorish behaviour of England fans etc not sure if that’s over sensationalist or whether it’s true. First instinct is that rugby doesn’t spring to mind as a problem sport with fan behaviour.

Stephen Jones is very pro-Wales. So maybe a pinch of salt is needed. I have never found England rugby fans at a game to be yobbish. A bit arrogant for sure but that’s all. And everyone seems to think the Welsh support is great but I have seen some right drunken messes in that support that balances out great memories like the 100-a-side game refereed by some loon on a unicycle at London Welsh after our usual battering at Twickenham

Pretty much what I thought was unfortunate enough to hear 10 minutes of Jim White jumping all over it as gospel truth.

Singing a song sung by American slaves about longing for their freedom, isn't a good look in 2023.

Not to mention it’s a godawful dirge and they only seem to know the first couple of lines.

One of the fringe benefits of emigrating has definitely been not hearing Jim White any more. His efforts to wind up anti-England sentiment all the time in the name of banter are toe curlingly awful.

Especially when it started when Chris Oti was on the wing and scored a couple of tries.

Just wait until the English play Oz in any sports and you'll yearn for Jim White's balanced approach...

Extreme measures. I only moved to North Shropshire and I avoid listening to Jim White....in fact, when I lived in the Midlands I also avoided listening to him

Me finding the beauty of podcasts means I’ve pretty much banished talkshite into the long grass only listen on match day live now.

Stephen Jones is a disgrace of a journalist. Only kept on by the Times to be the written equivalent of White. Used to really like the Sunday Times but stopped buying it in part because of him.

By all accounts it sounds irresponsible piece of journalism then. I’ve never heard of any trouble at twickenham or travelling England fans before, drinking yes a big part of rugby fan Culture but surely it’s the same in Paris, Dublin, Cardiff, Rome and Edinburgh on a Six nations day.

Yeah gives us chance going into the second half but I still expect SA will have a bit to much

I think it’ll be tight probably 3-5 points

I don’t understand the inner working of the scrum but from what the ref was saying they were absolutely battering us at them
