The Rugby Thread

Not from me - Te'o was excellent last week, once he went off we were far too open and lacked the ball carrier. After Tuesday I thought Henderson was a definite for the squad - I would have had him starting ahead of Lawes, its shocking he's not even on the bench.

If anything I think we have made it worse at 6,7,8,9,10,12,13 we only have Faletau who can bish his way through players and even then its not his number one skill. We will be box kicking the ball away all game again, sigh.

To be honest neither for me as well especially as forecast on saturday is suppose to be wet and windy just trying to rationalise it.

I would have had Henderson as well over Stander (as he is sluggish and word is that he has been carrying an ankle injury over the tour), but he is probably knackered after tuesday when Gatland didnt play any of the new 6 even after having them on the bench.

Gatland has taken a couple of gambles for the next Test, IMO.

Playing AWJ instead of Henderson or Lawes is the first one and the Sexton/Farrell combo is the other.
Either or both could be disastrous, but I understand the need to change the system and try to increase ball possession.

Hope the ref is kinder at the scrum for us (less penalties) and NZs blocking needs to be stopped.

Maro Itoje is owning this game. He absolutely should have fucking played last week.

Shame about the scrum.

Awesome from Maro

Brilliant kick from Farrell. Forwards so much better today.

Don't get that from SBJ at all - I didn't think he was that sort of player.

Williams needs to start catching some balls

Lions have been crap so far in this half.

WTF has Mako been doing for the last 5 minutes? Idiocy

Brilliant from George and Murray. Brilliant.

Kieran Reads 100th cap as well next week just incase the AB's are short on motivation.......

Not often the ABs lose but Read certainly lost with great dignity today. Also Hansen's interview was very fair. I liked his point that whether Hansen thought it was a red or not, the referee did, and you always go with and respect the referee's call.
