Don't they?Do they?
Don't they?Do they?
Dunno. I'm only going on comments from former serving military personnel. I suppose the litmus test is to join up and find out?Largely just a ceremonial thing these days though isn't it? Not like years gone by when they would've shared the battlefield with their monarch and they'd have had their most trusted men at arms by their sides. Even the most involving conflicts our nation has seen in modern times haven't really been a direct threat to the monarch as such have they?
I would've thought for vast majority the pride in the unit they serve and the mutual protection of those they serve beside would have trumped their connection to the monarch significantly.
In a considerably lower stakes comparison I do my job to assist my colleagues and deliver projects well rather than please the man who's name sits above the door. I suppose everyone has their own motivations though.
Doesn't seem necessary.Dunno. I'm only going on comments from former serving military personnel. I suppose the litmus test is to join up and find out?
As usual MakaJ, whatever you say...Doesn't seem necessary.
I don't think my own feelings would change based on am obligation to read an oath and I'm sure I could canvass opinion without serving if I was so inclined.
It can't be, this is how the world see us, it says so in the title !Sounds a right cunt
