The R.I.P. Thread

That's a gutter.

Amazing in Blade Runner

Fucking chilling in the Hitcher.

Depressing start to the day. RIP to one of my favourite actors. Ladyhawke was a favourite film of mine, the hitcher introduced new levels of Psycho to the screen.

Both dull as fuck though, even that ed sheeran tomato ketchup advert annoys me, I invented a new taste for food, err no,you just put red sauce on it! He has the odd lyric that jars, that song with Justin bieber, with the chimps doing the ooh ooh ooh in the chorus, has the lyric "I never wear a suit and tyre" yea neither does anyone else, unless you're Stompi Moeketsi in early 80s Soweto and you've upset Winnie Mandela and she's got her "football club" to sling a cross ply around your neck and set it alight(I'm aware he sings tie, it's not attire, there's an and in the middle, but the phrasing has it as tyre to fit the rhythm)
Coldplay, dull plodding music, with 6th form level wank poetry lyrics," lights will guide you home and ignite your bones" yea ok, I'll walk home In the dark I like my bones to not be on fire.
they also have the honour of being one of two bands whose gigs I left early because they were terrible, civic hall just before parachutes was released and they were touted as rightly as it turned out as the next big thing, they were awful, for the reasons above. The other band was sleeper, they were dull as well and completely blown off stage by the support act Rialto, who then vanished without trace.
Lol Rialto. Now THEY were shite. And yes I saw them live as well.

Probably not the right thread for this, but I never got this argument. It would suggest Elvis, Aretha, Frank Sinatra err... The Monkees... were of less value than Ed Sheeran. Surely not?
No not at all. My point was, even if you don't like their music, you have to accept they have some actual musical talent.

Cba to put this in the wrestling thread but...

One of the greatest wrestlers ever Harley Race has died aged 76

Battle of Britain Veteran, Archie McInnes. He was the last of the six remaining Battle of Britain ‘Few’ to become a centenarian.

That really enforces that the second world war was a very long time ago now.

I can remember the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of D-Day back in 1984 and the Queen was doing ceremonies on the beaches. Around that time WW2 veterans didn't look that old at all, and the WW1 veterans at that time were still looking fairly with it. They will all be gone soon, from both wars.

The poor Police officer murdered in Berkshire last night. Only 28 and married a month ago. Absolutely terrible

RIP Officer :bobby2: :icon_sad:

Yes R.I.P. officer. Very sad.

Absolute disgrace. I don't know whether I I want to cry or fight these idiots. Awful that there is so little respect for an organisation that polices with consent. Its horrendous shit like this that makes me glad to be out. R I p you poor bugger

It's heartbreaking looking at the wedding pictures of him and his beautiful wife, so happy and with their lives in front of them. Her life is destroyed too by these bastards

Nowt wrong with Sheeran or Coldplay, even if you don't like their music. At least they write and perform all their own stuff.

Plenty wrong with them. They’re on my daily ‘boil my piss’ list.

Both are excellent songwriters and live performers. They have my full respect for that.

Must have had a heads up you were going.

Coldplay were dull as fuck when I went to see them.

They were when I saw them, that's why I walked out,can understand how they've got massive, dull music for for people who don't really like music, and follow the herd see also
Sheeran, ed,
Keating,Ronan,
Life,west,
And anyone else who's biggest hit is due to it being on an advert

Hating on Coldplay, how original.

The first album was pretty good, and the second one. Think they got a bit up themselves after that and people started dismissing them musically as their appeal rocketed and Chris Martins ego seemed to get lost in space, and the dreaded middle of the road listeners picked up on them

Mostly hated on by people who believe their musical preferences are in some way more superior to other peoples choice, also see audiophiles most belligerent of posters for hating on undiscernable differences in sound quality to human ears
