The R.I.P. Thread

Shocked at the news. I can just about remember us getting The Sports Argus (pink) on a Saturday evening and Francis making the headlines scoring for fun for Blues. R.I.P.

Chris Bart-Williams and Trevor Francis both on the same day and both played for Forest and Sheffield Wednesday

RIP Trevor Francis.

Saw him 2 years ago, down in Marbella when watching Wolves train.

He was standing by the goals watching the train, Nuno not having a clue who he was told Paul the security guy to go move him, make him stand with us.

He did not say hello or anything, just sat and ignored everyone around him.

He looked really ill, but even so it was a massive shock when I saw on Sky he had died.

He was in his Marbella Villa when he passed away.

I messaged some of the wolves staff that were there that day, they were as Surprised as I was, and had only been laughing about Nuno not realising who he was (and had not heard of him) at lunch when it came out he had passed away.

It said on the radio that his wife passed away about 11 years ago and he never got over it :(

He did not look good when I saw him, almost recluse like, made it very plain that he wanted to be left alone, yet there were others standing round chatting watching, including some other players.

That’s a real shame, super talented, had her issues she fought against, losing her son not long ago couldn’t have helped

Really really sad about Sinead. I felt it had been coming a few years ago when she went through a couple of breakdowns publicly. Then she seemed to get better then her son died and she went quiet but 2 weeks ago she posted the below and it seemed like she was bouncing back.
Just goes to show how mental health can be so fragile and one day you can have a positive outlook with good stuff happening and a few days later you're gone forever. So so sad.

Signs were showing quite a long time ago...
She was one of the headline artists at Bob Dylan's Celebrations of 30 Years in the business (30 might be wrong, might be a bigger number?) and when it was her turn to go on, there was a long delay as she was having some sort of a tantrum back stage, then when she eventually got herself together, she went out to the crowd with a document which I believe was a printed version of a statement from the Catholic church and she read it out then holding it up, tore it into small pieces then got a photo of the Pope and with a 'Fuck the Pope!' tore that up before singing a song which didn't go well.
Super talented, but deeply flawed.

The tearing up of the picture of the Pope happened 2 weeks before the Bob Dylan concert, she did it on SNL.

Randy Meisner, a founding member of the Eagles, dies aged 77

Best live band (for sound) i ever saw, and opened with hotel california which was no1 at the time and left audience gob smacked.

He was great, Timothy B. Schmidt was a good replacement but never really replaced his vocals.
