Greatest F1 driver never to win a world championship,Sir Stirling Moss 90 after a short illness

I met Sir Stirling a couple of years ago, he was very frail, but just being in his presence and having a conversation with him was something I'll never forget.

RIP Sir Stirling, a true gentleman and a true great

BBC article implying after a long illness. Sad news too.

Bizarrely I was only thinking about the Goodies yesterday when we were discussing Red Dwarf being of an era.
I loved it as a kid but watched one recently..............erm No !

Still he was part of my childhood and as such sadly missed

I remember him pre-Goodies as part of the ISIRTA (I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again) ensemble on the radio. T B-T, John Cleese, Graeme Garden, Bill Oddie, Tony Hatch & Jo Kendall.

I have always enjoyed radio or record comedy, there was always that element of imagination needed, I mean in my mind Tony Hancock was in the waiting room waiting to give blood and Harry Secombe was actually pushed down a well on the Goons :)

'It's almost an armful'!

Even got my youngest son to appreciate the Goons though there was also some crap radio shows at that time - Jimmy Clitheroe anyone?

Still we had nothing else

It was different for me in the 70's I listened to it cause I liked it (and my Mom and Dad had he LPs)

RIP to fellow Wolves fan Pete “Goof” Lewis who passed away on 2 April and was laid to rest today buried in a Wolves coffin.

Although I didn’t personally know him, he was a face in the crowd that I’d often recognise at Wolves away games (there is a three page tribute thread over on MM)
