Wasn't there an incident last season (possibly in Germany?) when there was a penalty appeal that was turned down, the other team went on to score on the break, the ref checked VAR, disallowed the goal and gave a penalty for the original incident?

Not sure he even needed to stop it. If Korea go and score...well have a look at the replay then. If it's no foul then goal Korea. If it is a foul then that's disallowed, we go back to the penalty. Otherwise just wait for it to go out of play.

There was one in Germany where everyone went off for half time, they reviewed the incident, penalty given and they had to call everyone back on the field :icon_lol:

Exactly my thinking, another maybe 5 seconds of play could've had a natural break in play with a corner, goal kick or potential goal and that gives you opportunity to review the penalty call up the other end, sure people are going to be frustrated if you chalked off a goal at one end to give the original penalty but he'd have been perfectly justified in doing so from that challenge.

Cheers! Boyata is shocking though and Carrasco is about as much a wing back as when we've played Cav or Helder there. He's also completely wasting the best years of his career slumming it in China.
