Honestly it shouldn't be surprising to anyone that an American who discovered the sport 7 years ago would have a wildly different perspective than a bunch of Brits who grew up soaked in the game.

Firstly, after awarding the penalty I would have retreated from the incident so that if players wanted to protest they would have had to come to me to protest. And that would have meant a yellow card for every player who did do. But I doubt even that would have affected a Colombian side who had lost all discipline.

This game must be extremely difficult to control. Which is why I said that FIFA need to investigate the antics in the game. They have been disgraceful.

Thank you, if you are out of the box then I presume that makes it easier to control the Colombia players though rather than the free for all that went on?
