The Official World Cup 2018 Megathread

It's lovely stuff. And maybe it will settle Argentina down. Mascherano is still clearly at least one tournament past his best, and their defence is dire.

Iheanacho doesn't look at all like he can test this Argentina defense. Ighalo isn't world class but he's got to be better than this.

Such brave keeping from Uzoho, and boy did he pay for it in full.

Argentina look poor.
Nigeria will come.strongbat the end but will they have the discipline. African teams are not noted for that.

This Armani guy looks a decent step up from Caballero.

Ref has been really bad.

If he's been good for River Plate (and I wouldn't know either way) then he should have been ahead of that clown in the first place. Not only is he absolutely shit and ancient but he's played 26 league games in four years. Who puts someone like that as first choice?

The Messi goal gets better every time you watch it. Absolutely superb.

Incredible what can happen when you've got a midfielder who can play the ball forward.

No point in them trying to keep it out at the back. They need a goal.

Agreed. But no good doing what we did against Germany at one point we had 9 players ahead of the ball.

Go forward attack.but do it in a disciplined way

Not as bad as the ones against England but fucking daft to even do the holding after the last few games

Shut up Jermaine Lawrenson. It's a clear pen.

More inconsistency if you ask me. Mascherano does have his arm around Balogun but he doesn't actually do anything to him. Seen far worse than that not given.

Given everything that’s been given prior to this evening, that really is park stuff from Mascherano.

Good stuff from Moses.
