That's not the rules, the rules state that all players have to be in their own half before play can restart

It happened for England's winner v Tunisia too. I think the rule is a myth but if so I'm not sure why teams keep making sure 1 outfield player stays on the pitch.

Didn't mean my post to come off dickish tbf. Genuinely curious as I'm sure there are spelling differences between our Englishes that aren't as well-advertised as color/colour, gray/grey, etc.
