The Official World Cup 2018 Megathread

All I wanted was the players to put some pride back in the shirt. The players have done that and some....

If we lose in the last 16 we have a team to be proud of again

Technically they were ok to kick-off as all our outfield players had left the pitch. If they'd have scored VAR could easily have given the goal.

That's not the rules, the rules state that all players have to be in their own half before play can restart

Sounds like Belgium could be without Hazard & Lukaku for the final game anyway. And Bobby has already stated he’s going to make a few changes - don’t think he has any intention of winning the group by the sounds of it.

Getting the excuses in early

Wonder if someone like Nagatomo could be of interest to Wolves, always thought he'd looked a tidy player when I'd seen him for Inter but seems to have fallen out of favour there now, playing pretty well so far today.

Don't know a ton about it but there was apparently a stretch of about a year or two that he was an absolute liability, although IIRC that was with him playing as a conventional LB in a back four. And, to be fair, it was during a period when just about every Inter player was a liability in some way.

Yikes. N'Diaye undoing a lot of his good keeping against Poland with that gaffe.

Poor mistakes on all four goals but that was a pretty entertaining match.

Some cracking tv there consisting of 10 minutes of Pablo Zabaleta getting Drogba and Phil Neville to drink some Argentinian tea.

Phil Neville turned into Karl Pilkington.

Haha he did a bit.

So ITV spend the first twenty minutes covering a game we have already watched. Cheers. Any danger of mentioning Poland v Colombia?

Suppose they had to have their say as the other games have been on BBC. I agree, though. Talk about the game we’ve tuned in to watch and discuss the England match after. Guarantee they’ll chat about England at half time too.

I much prefer the BBC coverage, bit more chemistry between the presenters and more relaxed, best bit about ITV is seeing Roy Keane get more and more annoyed because slavan bilic keeps touching him

Agree 100%. Plus Lineker is a superior presenter to anyone else out there.

Well this has been the most embarrassing 7 minutes of play acting so far.
