After the MK Dons game has anyone got a positive argument for keeping Jackett? Being afraid of the board screwing up the replacement isn't a positive argument - right now Jackett is doing a fine job of screwing it up

I don't know Norman, given their appalling record of appointing managers I'd say fear of the board getting it wrong is a very positive argument ;) Saunders is out of work again, let's at least wait until he either announces his retirement or some poor bastards employ him.

A bit of light relief on the subject from an intellectual on the Rumours site;

Anyone think rob Edwards would make a good coach? Young, knows the squad well, next Harry Monk?

If you don't know the term 'Harry Monk' try Google...

He is highly regarded as a coach, whether that translates into being a good manager, who knows.

If Jackett leaves/is sacked it will be Edwards and Sellars that temp charge.

Surely the fans to an extent can be the judge of the quality of coaching. There wouldn't be many fans looking at Wolves at the moment thinking they look a slick well drilled outfit. If we just use the defense as an example, Williamson came into the side and became its leader, its organiser. He didn't come into the side having to slot into a well defined system of defensive play.

I know the general consensus is for him to be replaced but I just can't see him being sacked to be honest, as for the QPR stuff, its probably bollocks.

Your first line is precisely what's wrong with the modern day fan

It's not my position to talk about other clubs. But there hasn't been any approach to myself, or as far as I'm aware, the club, so there's nothing to say on it. It's not something that's come to me. I'm committed to Wolves and speculation is just that, speculation.

Oh hell- why not just sack KJ and appoint Dave Edwards as player manager! He's already guaranteed to start every week as it is

Don't really understand/like the bit about Price.

He seems to indicate the reason he's been dropped in the past is that he's "overcoming the physical side" - Since he's been playing in our first team, i've not seen any evidence of him struggling with this despite his small frame. Seems like the easy thing to pick for an excuse.

Reads like a whole load of BS and excuses to me.

Does he mean that his performance level drops after an extended run in the side due to his age / physical development?

He's getting his excuses in early so that he can drop Jack on Saturday...

I wish he would answer questions on Edwards technicality rather than Price physicality. It does seem an English trait that they look at big and strong rather than clever and well skilled.

Don't get the comment about 'adjusting' Wallace to play centrally. Surely that's what we signed him as? It was Jackett that 'adjusted' him to play on the left wing.
Have to say that I'm getting more and more pissed off as the good candidates go to other teams - now looking like JFH is off to QPR. God forbid that Warburton goes to Fulham. Everyone else is being ambitious, Wolves are settling for mediocre to crap.

Then again Gary Neville shortened up dramatically in the Fulham betting. Maybe we should just show some balls as a club. Get rid of Ken and push the boat out for someone demonstrably intelligent.

?

Gary Neville has gone to Valencia until the end of the season.

"Jed is a goalscoring midfielder, similar to David Edwards, albeit 21 years old, he just has to be patient and wait for that chance and opportunity.

"I personally don’t think it’s quite worked out for him on the left, but he’s shown an ability to run from there, get into goalscoring positions, which is his strength.

"Adjusting him into a central area the next time he comes into the side will really help him.

So Wallace was bought to play on the left even though he has played the majority of his time at Portsmouth centrally or on the right cutting in. And he's a runner similar to Dave Edwards?????

Who in their right mind thinks Wallace is similar to Edwards? Wallace is technically pretty good and can strike the ball from distance as well as run with it. Edwards is none of those things.

That's a manager who didn't buy the player has no clue what he's good at and now has no way of getting him in the side. The disconnect between recruitment and manager is huge by the looks of things.

One or the other needs to go and now really before the January transfer window. I would rather KJ left as the players are harder o shift.

I think Kenny Jackett did sign Wallace to play wide left in that early season inverted system which he had planned on using. The loss of Wallace to injury put an end to that plan alongside a loss of faith when the system created more problems than it solved.
