The Official FIFA World Cup 2022 Megathread

Probably fifa didn't bother releasing any pics earlier because they give no fucks about Sourness and his ilk.
Don't know why it's still 'controversial' there's plenty of stills around now showing it was still in play.
It properly spoiled my (and no doubt loads of Japan fans) enjoyment last night banging on about it rather than hilighting what a great performance it was and with the other game, a terrific evenings entertainment.

It's not about Souness, it's the millions across the world watching the game who deserved to and were entitled to see it. If they had your enjoyment wouldn't have been spoiled

This was it we had 2 great stories yesterday Morocco and Japan both topping their groups with 2 so called superior European nations in their groups.
Instead it’s the controversial goal and why we’re Belgium so bad?
Both stuck their fingers up to a degree of snobbery when it comes to world football.

Imo it's all about Souness and those type of people, just want to put a dampener on the excitement, it was shown pretty quickly that it wasn't over the line, I was seeing pictures within an hour of the incident, they're still banging on about it now!

That’s doubling down as he doesn’t want to be seen as foolish
This 'no apology I'm right' culture is fucking shit.

Everybody in the media is at it and it's seeping into everyday life.

Souness should just admit he got it wrong.

If you saw the graphic a couple of minutes afterwards like you should have done and they could have done all of the rest dissappears. There's no excuse for not doing so and stops the hard of thinking from having anything to say

Luckily it made him look even more dumb.
I've no problem with the issue being addressed it's just the time spent whingeing about it compared to the time spent on the terrific turn around by Japan.
Caveat; my view may be slightly coloured by my dislike of Souness.

Big surprise Jim White joins the row “how can one man’s eyes decide a nations World Cup fate, why don’t they have technology all around the pitch” piss off stop making controversy where it doesn’t exist.

He’s the biggest hypocrite that’s probably ever walked the planet.

Unless Saudi sportswash get it. Their adverts throughout the whole competition as being “the real Arabia” have been less than subtle.

Is taking the piss out of someone's anti homophobia gesture in a none homophobic way in itself homophobic? Not so sure personally, more Johnny's descriptor

I’ve read a lot of people celebrating the results last night, but I believe that now puts Spain in our side of the draw, making an already tricky run to the final (this isn’t me being big headed and saying we’ll make the final FYI) even harder?

Maybe not the perfect set of results that everyone first thought. Great that Germany are out, though.
