The NFL Thread

Now there's a player I don't find it hard to dislike.

He'll get another shot. He's too freakishly talented not to. Adama-esque.

They should have traded him last season/offseason is what I mean. Letting him walk for nothing is on brand for them, though.

That's a lot of draft capital for a DB (by league standards, not necessarily my own).

Less than the Colts gave up for Sauce and I think McDuffie is the better player. They also gave up 2 1s for Ramsey and won a SB with him.

No disagreement; just feel it’s a lot relative to how most teams operate. On the face of it, it’s a deal that works well for both teams.

Not untrue, it would just be interesting of DBs started commanding more capital than linemen. Conventional wisdom has held that a good pass rush can cover for a weak secondary more than a good secondary can cover for a weak pass rush.

Kind of ironic given what “prevent” defense is.

Drew Dalman retiring at 27. Massive loss for Chicago.

Kenneth Walker III becoming an unrestricted free agent. If he doesn't re-sign with Seattle, he'll be the first player since Dexter Jackson in 2003 to win Super Bowl MVP and not play for the same team the next season.

Jackson was in Tampa Bay in '03, then signed with Arizona (I think) for '04.
