The NFL Thread

Well a game at the normal time is a 7.00 or 8.00am kickoff on Monday in Melbourne, so that won't work. It would also need to be west coast sides but even that is 20 hour flight minimum you would think.

Rams already confirmed as the home team. 15 ½ hrs apparently. Can't see it being a division game, so Chargers looks most likely I'd say.

You feel like the teams playing would need a bye week either side of that fixture. Is this what finally moves the NFL to make the schedule 18 weeks and give each team 2 bye weeks, as has been proposed quite a few times?

It will be the first week of the season so presumably it will be the season opener on the Friday night US time so it is early Saturday lunchtime at the MCG. The two teams could then not play until late Sunday in week 2, or 1 could be in the MNF slot.

That's the slot they use for the Brazil game, although I guess they could have 2

They will have to move Brazil then or the American public are missing it. Brazil is in virtually the same time zone, Melbourne categorically isnt.

Brazil is 10 hours from Philly so less about the time zone and more about the time in the air. That said I think it was the Rams who came into London last year (from Baltimore) the day before the game, won and flew out the same night. More expectation on the 'home' team to be present beforehand though
