Don’t disagree with the last point (never forgive McDermott for benching Tyrod Taylor for Nathan fucking Peterman). Also agree that whether or not Allen wins an SB, he should be a HoFer for sure.
But, in terms of rushing statistics, it’s really only his TD count that blows his peers away. Granted, the score is the most important thing in the game, so I don’t mean to denigrate his wild TD/rush ratio (it’s legit absurd).
Maybe it’s just one of those things where the players you see at age 7 thru 11ish take on a kind of mythic quality, but I’d have to see some unbelievably wild shit to knock Michael Vick off that throne for me. Which, to be clear, is setting aside his horrific off-field actions, which are a separate conversation I’m really not trying to have right now.
I’m very impressed with Allen this season, tho much like last year I think James Cook’s importance to the Buffalo offense is being criminally overlooked (not necessarily by you, mate).
