The NFL Thread

Surprised the Steelers didn't try to get a couple of receivers in before the deadline.
Rodgers really struggled since the Metcalf was double teamed every time he showed his face. He really didn't have anyone to throw to.
Bit sad to see Rodgers had his 'Fantastic' button dialled right back down though, but the Steelers front office didn't help him one bit.
That said, I think it's wrong when a QB throws a perfect ball to a receiver 20 yards away, and he just loses concentration and the ball skids off his hands to a defender who fucks off up the pitch, and that's called a QB interception.

That one is funny in that offensive coaches see things like bubble screens and other “behind the LoS” passes as, effectively, running plays.

At least the stat counts toward receiving yards, though, so the player isn’t entirely shafted there.

Bryce Young is unbelievably clutch. Too bad the Carolina defense is still stupid brittle.

After his first season it would have been easy for him to completely fall apart. But fair play to Young for getting the Panthers in a position where they can win their division.

When he got benched for Dalton he looked empty. Like a manager who knows he’s sacked tomorrow or has run out of answers.

I thought he was cooked.

It's always going to be one of those fun sliding doors moments to think about.

Shedeur Sanders in for the the Browns at QB (and getting repeatedly nailed) who are currently beating the ravens thanks to their defence, Miles Garrett has four sacks.

Darnold currently regressing under pressure from the Rams pass rush.

It's good to see, so easy for a QB to be written off due to being on an incredibly bad team. See Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, although admittedly there's also Zach Wilson to fly against that.
The warning signs were all over Wilson’s film at BYU tbf; teams were (and often are) seduced by his “arm talent”. Add to that going to the Jets, and whatever small chance he might have had was snuffed out of the gate.

The Adama Effect, if you like.
