The NFL Thread

I wonder if he's been given the nod that Belichick is going to retire after another season of 2 and the job is his when he does? I certainly can't see him hanging around post Brady and Gronk, given the way he's leaked his displeasure on the Jimmy G trade.

Not funny anymore, Frank Reich has got the gig and Joe DeFlilppo is off to the Vikings as OC. Doug calls the plays, but that's the heart of the offensive coaching team ripped out. Be interesting to see what happens at QB at the Vikings all 3 QBs in FA, Flip allegedly not a big fan of Bradford.

Bradford won’t stay, was hoping for Cousins but looks like it’ll be Keenum and Teddy fighting it out.

And you’re not allowed to complain about coaches being stolen when you’ve just won the Super Bowl!

Not complaining, just a little annoyed with the timing. If Reich was going to the Colts earlier in the process then Flip probably would have stepped up to OC, but the McDaniels situation meant both go, although with Doug doing the play calling it looks like there won't be an OC

First game of the season rumoured to be Vikings at the Linc, so that'll be interesting!

I love free agency. I don't watch college football, so the draft doesn't really mean that much to me, although I understand the importance. FA is really exciting though, some big moves being made, Cousins to the Vikings makes them really strong, Lewis and Adendola out of the Patriots surely has to weaken them. Eagles only lost 2 SB starters, Smith not really a loss, Robinson deserves his NO payday, but improved their defensive depth and managed to keep Bradham which was vital. TE a desperate draft need though and rejected a second round pick for Foles so either waiting for pre season desperation, Wentz is struggling or just happy to have him around

Looks like OBJ will be off to the Rams for a first and some add ons. If Goff is the real deal, I'm personally not convinced then him, Gurley+ what they've got in FA like Suh will be real SB contenders. The NFC is looking strong.

Rams rumoured to be offering a first round pick + something else (not another 1st RP) for OBJ.

They've just signed Suh on free agency which is a good signing, and I think Goff would link up well with Becks.

I think the Giants are a bit fed up with him as he's rumoured to be refusing to play unless he gets a new contract.

Bah, only just noticed Tony's post above!

Nick Foles has signed a new deal with Philadelphia.

It's a restructured contract rather than a contract extension though.

Got a ticket for the Eagles @ Jags game which I'm delighted about as they went quickly this morning. I think buying a junior seat at the same time helped. Block 130 bottom tier at the back of the end zone to the right.

Sorry Johnny posted this before I saw your comments on the other thread. I didn't mean to come across as gloating. On your point my tickets came to £108 including all fees, could sell them for around £600 on ticketing sites. It's just wrong.

You've done well there TT. I'm just cheesed off that there aren't laws in this country to prevent re-sellers and ticket touts and particularly the designated seller actually owning the reselling sites.

It'll be a great game as I think the Eagles will do well again this year and the Jags want London as their home. Even the Titans v Chargers game went fast and I'm not even sure I'd want to go and see that.

Seahawks v Raiders moved from Tottenham to Wembley as the stadium won’t be ready by 14th October

Luckily Wembley Park Premier Inn hasn't caught on yet and I've just booked rooms for £26 per night! Bargain.

I've messaged my brother, he books the hotels, to let him know. Hopefully he gets on in time!

Just checked and it's now £96! Robbing barstewards.

Thanks for the heads up Bear. We got into the London Wembley Stadium premier inn for £37.50 per night each... Absolute bargain!
