It’s tricky because Wentz won’t be fully fit for the start of the season will he? Foles has been unbelievably good in the post season.
It's an absolute certainty, Wentz is the franchise QB and would have been season MVP if he hadn't got injured. Foles has been amazing in the play offs, but isn't the future of the franchise, Wentz is and we'll get a number 2 draft pick for him. Plus Doug likes SudfeldNot to my knowledge.
If they trade Foles after that they're doing him a huge disservice. Now, if they wanted to trade Wentz...
At the moment he's expected to be fit for Week 1.It’s tricky because Wentz won’t be fully fit for the start of the season will he? Foles has been unbelievably good in the post season.

Thought it was completely classless and a totally self centred lack of respect that Brady ran straight off the field without congratulating Foles.
I gave it a miss too as I was feeling a bit rough. Gonna watch the highlights shortly.
It's been a strange 24 hrs, your team wins the Superbowl and then you like a Piers Morgan article (yes I know it's clickbait for the American market).

He releases $5m of cap space. When he was recruited pre season there was some criticism of Roseman for spending that much on a guy who was clearly going to be a number 2 when as you say the cap is really tight. Obviously that has now proven to be a touch of genius in hindsight. Although Doug has refused to get drawn into it, he did say yesterday that Wentz is the franchise QB. It would be unfair on Foles after this to expect him to spend another year effectively with the practice squad, so a trade hopefully for a Rd 2 pick would be the best for all. It wouldn't surprise me to see him go back to Andy Reid and the Chiefs.Something else that will have a big impact on whether Nick Foles is retained as a backup is the fact that the Eagles are really up against it with regards to cap space. Dealing him could give Roseman a bit more amo to build around Wentz who is the nailed on future.
