It’s tricky because Wentz won’t be fully fit for the start of the season will he? Foles has been unbelievably good in the post season.

there is a 0% chance that foles will be on the eagles roster next year. trading wentz seems unlikely.

though I'd have to double check what their contract status's are, not that those mean much.

Foles just had the actual best post-season by a QB ever. Talk of him getting dealt is craziness.

Honestly if you've heard his story I'd bet he'd rather retire than leave Philly.

Not to my knowledge.

If they trade Foles after that they're doing him a huge disservice. Now, if they wanted to trade Wentz...
It's an absolute certainty, Wentz is the franchise QB and would have been season MVP if he hadn't got injured. Foles has been amazing in the play offs, but isn't the future of the franchise, Wentz is and we'll get a number 2 draft pick for him. Plus Doug likes Sudfeld

At the moment he's expected to be fit for Week 1.

and wentz was the presumptive MVP before getting injured. and is younger. one of them is leaving.

100%

Thought it was completely classless and a totally self centred lack of respect that Brady ran straight off the field without congratulating Foles.

I'm off to bed now tired and emotional, but 2018 could well turn out to be the best sports year ever!

What a wonderful thing to wake up to!

First Super Bowl I've missed for 7 years but wasn't too bothered about that. Absolutely gutted now but as Darlo says, a great thing to wake up to! Hopefully Brady retires now.

Watched the first half until Justin Timberlake sent me to sleep. Watched the remaining highlights this morning. What a game that was, not great if you're defensive purist but a fantastic offensive game. Nick Foles take a bow, he was channeling his inner Manning with that performance.

Glad to see the Patriots fuck it up and raised a smile with the carbon copy trick play that Pederson called for Foles touchdown. Must've really pissed Belichick off.

Couldn't get off the field quick enough could he. Just another reason to add to the list of ' Why Brady Is A Wanker '

Great game though, fantastic result, and brilliant watching the news this morning :)

I gave it a miss too as I was feeling a bit rough. Gonna watch the highlights shortly.

Get yourself a cup of tea, 3 sugars, plenty of milk and sit and watch the Pats lose. Guaranteed to make you feel a better bear.

To be considered the GOAT you have to act with dignity and class to add to your on the field accomplishments IMO. And Brady has neither of those qualities. He's a petulant, self centred, cheating, spoilt brat.

Brady's success is at least 80% having Belichik as a coach. I've been convinced of that ever since he tore his ACL and the Pats went 11-5 with Matt fucking Cassell at QB.

Don't get me wrong, he's very good and if you're looking at mental attributes alone he's near the top all time.

Sat and watched the game last night, probably the best Super Bowl I’ve personally seen and I am glad the Eagles won! Got to love an underdog!

Something else that will have a big impact on whether Nick Foles is retained as a backup is the fact that the Eagles are really up against it with regards to cap space. Dealing him could give Roseman a bit more amo to build around Wentz who is the nailed on future.
He releases $5m of cap space. When he was recruited pre season there was some criticism of Roseman for spending that much on a guy who was clearly going to be a number 2 when as you say the cap is really tight. Obviously that has now proven to be a touch of genius in hindsight. Although Doug has refused to get drawn into it, he did say yesterday that Wentz is the franchise QB. It would be unfair on Foles after this to expect him to spend another year effectively with the practice squad, so a trade hopefully for a Rd 2 pick would be the best for all. It wouldn't surprise me to see him go back to Andy Reid and the Chiefs.
