If you were one of biggest stars in the world and she came to your place of work at your invitation, in your private box, wearing an I love Farage t shirt and slapped that all over social media then yes I think that would be a reasonable conclusion to come to. As you aren't then it's not really comparable

Sign of how polarised things have come I guess that damning people by association is now to be expected.

Obviously love can take all kinds of forms, so maybe harsh here, but it’s hard for me to imagine a MAGA person being in a relationship with a… not MAGA person and it being healthy or working out.

Mahomes is definitely a peculiar guy. No idea what his personal politics are, but I see how the dots are there to be connected.

Just watching the highlights, it’s a spectacle and I do enjoy watching NFL but, and with respect to Alan, I’ve never considered it a sport.
To me it’s just another example of how things are dumbed down, Rugby becomes American Football, Cricket becomes Baseball, the Marquis of Queensbury becomes UFC.
Just an opinion and not intended to offend.

No offense taken, really. I don’t think “dumbed down” is right tho.

Christ Trev you have some cold takes, but that ones Baltic. The complexity that goes into drawing up plans and calling a game in the NFL is far from a dumbed down anything. The hours that coaches and players put in during the week to activate those plans in film and meeting rooms aswell as on the practice field is more than any other sport I know.

I will say that with the way football works, for better and worse, one’s ability to really enjoy it is (often) critically dependent on how deeply one understands the game and its intricacies. To new fans, especially adults, it can be quite impenetrable.

Figuring out said intricacies is hugely rewarding though, IMV.

Ha, as I said apologies if it offends people but it’s just how I see it, I was at a Bluejays game in Toronto a few years ago and they were drawing at full time.
I said to my Nephew, ‘a draw that’s not bad’ and he said, ‘no they don’t do draws, they play on until someone wins’.

Fair enough, probably applies to me.
By the way, it ain’t football, wash your mouth out. ;)

Ties (our word for draws) are anathema in sport culture here. Shit, for the first few years of MLS they didn't even do draws there. Straight to PKs (we even had a bizarre format that was more like a hockey shootout) if tied after 90'.

People are usually super pissed if an NFL game ends in a tie (only happens if the score is still tied at the end of the OT period, and only during the regular season).

In my brief time playing American football I really enjoyed learning the plays and understanding my part in each one. Seriously rewarding when it goes right but even at the very low level we were at it was tough to remember everything.

No way was Aaron Glenn going to put up with that dipshit's antics.

He was also truly bad last year. Wanna say he was bottom 5 in passer rating with a clean pocket, and he was in near the top in terms of dropbacks with a clean pocket.

Man when she hit that it fucking sent me. C Walking on national TV, the fucking Super Bowl no less. I fucking love it.

All too often, White folks in this country need to have Black American culture slap them in face before they recognize it. Putting that dance on that stage, out of the context of the Crips and Bloods and LA gang violence, is so important for getting people to understand that although gang culture is indelibly intertwined with Black culture, they are not one and the same, and that Black culture in this country is not the universally violent paradigm that far too many White folks are all too ready to label it as.
