Oh, he can be mouthy, but he's a very odd guy. Has a video channel where he does home help videos on things like how to service your boiler and fix a leaking tap! And very much a team guy: his teammates love him.

Maybe this is where I lose touch with most top level soccer players.

A lot of these guys have to get into a *different* place mentally on the field. Or, those who do seem to be the ones who play.

I suppose it’s a very American expression of competitiveness.
