The NFL Thread

I get that about the QB class. But Raiders are in the position that even a reach at QB is probably better than what they have. The key is not ruining yourself with an overpay.

Did she say it whilst giggling manically? Her and Jason Bell as a twosome are borderline unwatchable.

I think she's right though, Hurts is going to play, but banged up, that'll have an impact on the running game and the passing one is in the ICU. The defense is too good to give up 40 points like Detroit did, but I think they'd have to keep it below 20 to win. If you put any of the other 3 QBs left on the Eagles team they'd win the NFC Championship game and the SB by 2 scores.

The Bills are a better side than KC, logic says they win, but all metrics say that KC should have lost a lot of games this season and didn't. I think they will this one. Who I want to win the second game depends on who wins the first.
We owe the Chiefs. But I really don't see us pulling this one out. Though I do think Bills are built for a better matchup against the Chiefs than the Ravens, and we pulled that one out of the bag, so you never know. I can't help feeling that Kermit Mahomes is going to get an officiating decision or 2 that the Bills won't get and it will be enough to affect the course of the game.

I don't know much about college football, but it's supposed be a poor QB class. The number 3 last year Maye, would be rated number 1 this if the evaluators are to be believed. There's only 2 towards the top of the mock drafts and the top 3 all need one, so to trade up then the Raiders would either have to offer an ott bounty or the other team not rate the player involved. From that perspective it's a shame NE won their last game as they'd have been shopping the pick in all likelihood. There's always one that comes up over the combine period onwards but in more recent years that's been the Zach Wilson, Trey Lance small school great traits types which have been busts, but at the moment there's only 2 being mocked for the entire first round.

I can't comment on the player himself, but I'd be looking to avoid the circus that comes with Sanders, he'd have to be one hell of a talent to make that worthwhile
Small CFB pedantry here; Zach Wilson’s alma mater is Brigham Young, and although they’re not a powerhouse, I wouldn’t say they’re “small”. It’s a very respected program. It is a Mormon school, though…

Lance went to North Dakota State, who are dominant in what might be called CFB’s “Championship” (2nd tier, basically), so on the money with that one. Certainly small in the grand scheme of CFB.

Commanders v Bills is the Super Bowl the world wants (sorry Tony!), Eagles v Chiefs is the Super Bowl the world is going to get I think.

Although I'm of the opinion the Commanders v Eagles could go either way, especially if Hurts isn't 100%. Any word on if he's good to go?

Yeah, if I was a neutral it'd the SB I'd be hoping for. The worst spectacle I think would be Chiefs v Commanders as I think Reid and Spags with a bye week would come up with a gameplan to neuter Daniels.

Hurts is going to play with a knee brace, the probowl center is questionable with the probowl left guard taking snaps there all week, so if he's out that'd be a hobbled Hurts and a OL weakened in 2 positions too which can only have a negative impact on the run game.

My view hasn't changes across the week I think it'll be Bills V Commanders with Philly needing to keep Washington below 20 if they are to win.

On almost every team metric the Bills are better than the Chiefs. Point differential, offensive production, takeaway differential, defensive DVOA... Bills should win. The Chiefs will win though.

Game ain’t played on paper, ultimately.

I agree that the Bills should have the edge but KC in Playoff Mode are a juggernaut. Won’t be an easy one, but should be incredible entertainment.

One that made me think of you, @Dire Wolf; heard Josh Allen described as “a Tecmo Bowl player dropped into a game of Madden”, which feels exceptionally accurate.

Oh fuck off.

I’m down for the change but not in-flight. May was well replay the Houston-KC game if that’s how they’re going to do it.

Edit: Fuck off, me. Reading is hard I guess.

Jurgens not starting, big loss. If Dickerson has snapped a ball to Hurts before in a competitive game then it's been garbage time

I was hoping to give you some relief here, but no, Dickerson transferred in to Alabama the same year Hurts transferred out (having lost the starting job to a certain concussion-prone Hawai’ian).

Don't even line up the whole offense, just put out the O Line and Saquon and you're good.

It's the sort of shit you really have to savor. It's been at least two decades since a halfback had this kind of "home run" ability and consistency.

My Bama boys playing great so far; Dickerson, Steen, Hurts, and Davonta all showing up big on that drive.
