The NFL Thread

Yep.

Brown infuriates me. He is the kind of person that makes it easy to expect the worst out of others. I really hope he figures it out someday, but I ain’t holdin’ my breath.

I hope not, the Bears are hilariously badly run.

The Newcastle of the NFL.

I am so proud of my Dolphins. Started off 1-7 and now 6 wins on the bounce and sniffing distance of the playoffs if we can keep it going. Also, how Tua has played in this stretch has been awesome to see.

Hard life being a Phins fan sometimes lol, but just makes you appreciate the good times, like 6 wins in a row, even more. Take what I can get.

There was lots of talk on twitter that he'd be gone even after the Detroit win (a la Norwich...), but no. If Fields is back for the next game that might be his reprieve.
But if the ownership don't care, then it ain't happening.

We’ve never sacked a head coach during the season and I can’t see them doing it now (sadly)
Good point and even though not a Bears fan myself persay, I do think they should be performing better than they are. Some talent there, and I still think Nagy will be gone sooner rather than later. We shall see.

My word Jared Goff has actually turned up for a game

I'm a Bama fan by birth and tend to enjoy the college game significantly moreso than the NFL; it has given me a lot of joy to see T'ua persevere through all of the drama there this season.

They won't get in, but they are only 2 games outside the last wild card spot. NFL teams always convince themselves that a run is just around the corner

Coaches getting fired mid season is a relatively fresh phenomenon in the NFL. Certainly it happens nowhere near as often in soccer.

You have to fuck up pretty wildly to earn an early pink slip as a HC, generally speaking.

This is anecdotal as I don't have stats to back it up, but the league this year seems to have seen a lurch back towards old school running. Pats passed 3 times last night, Philly are the first team since the '85 Bears to run for 175 yds or more in 6 consecutive games. When fit other teams like the Browns, Titans, Ravens and Colts have built their offenses around a star runner.
