Shit, yeah that's not gonna go down well!
 
Quite a few players choosing to opt out of this season so far, 5 from the Patriots alone, including Donta Hightower and Brandon Bolden.
 
Just came to post the same thing. If the trickle becomes a flood it'll feel more like a strike season from the 80s

It'll be pre planned and orchestrated by Belichick: tanking for Lawrence the next great QB hope.

That's Dire's point. Lawrence is supposed to be the best QB to come out in a decade. Although Trubisky went before Mahomes and Burrow was seen as a 3rd rounder this time last year, so that's still a bit of a shaky proposition at this stage. I still think that Cam is a sticking plaster for them not a solution

Matt Stafford becomes the biggest name so far to pull out. It's now a season with a *against it whatever happens
 
Reports over here that he is on the Lions' covid-19 list. Doesn't mean he has opted out - he might have the virus or be self-isolating.

But if he has actually opted out, he could be a big enough name that the whole league reconsiders whether to go ahead.

Jokes aside, Gardner Minshew has also been added to the COVID list.
