The NFL Thread

It has been up pretty much all week Mike. You must have missed the invite.

Seems Tom Brady was the QB pick to have. They looked good yesterday albeit against a fairly average Titans team. I can't see the Eagles going much further against either Saints or Vikings.

I'm hoping for a Steelers v Vikings Superbowl. It'd be boring if the Pats got there. And the praise for Brady would be toe-curlingly sickening. Especially if they won it.

I'll not bother with the Superbowl if the Patriots are in it, they are just so boring. I'm sick of seeing them.

Obviously I want the Eagles to get there, although if they did I'd fear a blowout, it was only really the home field advantage that got them over the line last night.

I think the best Superbowl would be Saints Vs Steelers, 2 offenses who both have strong passing and running games and don't have Tom Brady.

Bloody hell, Jags making me look stupid - imagine if they beat the Patriots in the AFC championship game!

Living in Jacksonville I can say for sure that Jacksonville is no fluke. They will give New England a much tougher game than I think a lot of people will expect. Their front seven is inhumanly good.

Steelers put up 42 points on them and lost, didn’t see that coming!

I think Minnesota is going to make this ugly...

Uglier than I feared, but not in the way I feared. Sickening loss.

I hope the Jags go all the way now. It'd be great for them to come to Wembley as Superbowl champs.

I have no idea what the safety was thinking. Just bringing him down would have meant the Saints win. Vikings should beat the Eagles and then on to the Jags (wishful thinking on my part).

I don't think the Jags can be as physical in Foxborough as they may be subject to a few home calls.

Absolutely bizarre. Sort of thing which is hard to take from such highly paid athletes. Bit like the missed interception from Keanu Neal in the Falcons/Eagles game.

Absolutely ecstatic that the Vikings won, horrible way for the saints to lose but after watching Blair Walsh shank a 35 yard field goal to stop us winning in 2016 I never thought we’d win a playoff game that way.

3 out of the 4 teams have never won a super bowl, pats are bound to win it but I’m all in supporting the Jags next Sunday, it would be brilliant to have 2 new teams fighting it out even if the Vikes can’t get past the eagles.

That the one that bounced off his knee?

Barner not calling a catch on the punt and it hitting Douglas' ankle was spectacularly amateur as well.

Yeah, just stand there and catch it. Was obviously going straight to him from when it left Foles hand yet he inexplicably jumps to catch it when it gets near him. Catch that there’s a chance for a return TD or a de shots at a TD or worst case a FG. Instead they get a FG

Marcus was a wreck in the locker room afterward. Rookie mistake at the worst possible moment. Hopefully it makes him better.
