The Nerdy Dr Who Geekfest Thread

Teaser for series 9 on the BBC website. Looks like Maisie Williams from GOT is making an appearance.

Yeah I knew she was one of the guests this series - the way they've put her at the very end and what she says makes me wonder if she might turn out to be an important character from the Doctor's past?

Dunno. My first thought was new companion but there is no way she could fit that around GOT filming and other commitments surely.

No, I doubt she'll be a regular.

She's in an episode called "The Girl Who Died" and might be in the next episode "The Woman who Lived"

Alright, two things - is that the Doctor's Daughter in the last clip

And

Pause at 0:22 - what in the effing hell is that?! Good god!

Nah - a good character but she's been and gone. I'd have left her alone TBH. They need new ideas.

All true. I just feel there's a lot of questions still unanswered and her last appearance was a bit poor for a send off as it makes no sense to her timeline. I doubt she'll appear in any 2016 season.

Strong rumours that Jenna Coleman is leaving at the end of the series, or even after the Christmas special.

I've nothing against her and she's better now than when she first arrived but I'd have written her out at the end of the last series TBH.

New series on Saturday - huzzah!! REALLY hope they bring back Davros.

She has got the lead in a big period thing about the young Queen Victoria that the producers of are hoping will have similar longevity to Downton Abbey so I imagine she won't have the time for Clara.

Good-o.

That Queen Victoria thing sounds promising too. I shall have to look out for that.

Next week looks like an absolute blinder.

btw - Genna Coleman in a 20s dress. Hubba hubba, roll my tongue up.

Another brilliant episode. Really enjoyed the creature, and the way the Doctor's conscience is explored makes for good telly.

And I agree with Paddy - tremendous costumage.

The storyline from that will need to hold the attention of her fans as the costumage from that era won't.

What a stunning episode to open the series!!!

That was more like a series finale with all that drama. I absolutely loved it.
