The Music Thread Strikes Back

Amy Lee is a fantastic singer though. I don't know too many other than the main hits, but they are decent enough.

My Immortal
Bring Me To Life
Going Under
Call Me When You're Sober

New mogwai album out late January. Also, a new ludovico einaudi album on the same day. Nice way to beat the January blues!

Am excited about the 2 girl talk vinyls waiting for me to collect from my folks, alongside the new underworld album which sounds quite experimental! Looking forward to the weekend when I'll fetch them.

I only really know the middle two.

They feel a pretty poor fit for a Metallica support slot to me.
Am I imagining that they've got a previous working relationship with Lee?

If I never hear Bring Me To Life again for the rest of my life, I will believe in God.

Not that I can remember. Unless it was an Evanescence track that featured one of them. Metallica don't do collaboration tracks unless you count Kamen for S&M and Lou Reed for that godawful album they released. I dont think even the guys from Diamond Head have ever featured on a studio Metallica track

It's still a good song and Lee didn't want the nu-metal shouty sections which ruins it IMO, but the studio apparently threatened to not release the song or album without it, and pressured them into it purely because that's what was popular at the time.

There's a remastered demo which was the original version for the album which has no shouty bits, a guitar solo instead of the rapping and it's much, much better for it.
