The Music Thread Strikes Back

Lathums getting a lot of love on here, better check them out
The Prerenders featuring Grohl on drums and Johnny Marr on guitar were great fun.

Fully deserved as well.

I only know of them as they were a support act for Paul Heaton in Doncaster last year.
Their debut album is just brilliant. Crammed full of top tracks.

Had to see them in Wolvo and they were superb .
Lead singer is a great cross of a Northern stand up comic and a Dad dancing at a wedding.

Easily my favourite band at this moment in time. Hope they continue to get noticed

Really? That's cool, thought the set was really good and I'm definitely checking out their stuff on Spotify (I've even checked to see if they had any gigs this year!)
Yeah they are great tbf! I try to go whenever they are in London which seems to be more often with each year!

Watched Pale Waves live yesterday, was a great set

I quite enjoyed Pale Waves too. Never seen them before but was pleasantly surprised.

I tried to watch Lathums but wasn't impressed in the slightest. Same with Young Fathers.

Just watching Astley and Blossoms do their Smiths set. Pretty good so far.

Billy Nomates (I hadn't heard of her until recently) has asked for her Glastonbury set to be removed from iPlayer because of the amount of misogynistic abuse she's received. I only found out about her because she is the niece of my friends in Buffalo who we tailgate with at Bills games when we've been over.

Edit: it's actually the 6Music social media pages where she's received abuse.
