The Music Thread Strikes Back

Our X-Box died and the new one turned up not long ago. Old problem was it wasn't playing DVD or Blueray. This is now sorted and the DVD of Queen Montreal I bought a few months ago is now on, but the extras I haven't seen since live (well on the telly) back in 1985. Christ Queen were beyond brilliant that day at Live Aid. And also much props for the people behind Bohemian Rhapsody for getting it so close on the film.

Madness playing the Electric Ballroom in Camden on the 17th November. 40 years on from playing and charging just £2.50 per ticket. (plus booking fee of course). Tickets on sale Friday

Would be all over that but I am in London on the 14th to see the Blizzards so unable to get 2 trips in a couple of days sorted.

I would get a royal slap from the boss! I have used a lot of brownie points this year thanks to Wolves (including pissing off for nearly 4 days to Turin)

I am working on it though....

It's tales like that which remind me what a wonderful wife I have!

Good luck with your negotiations. Tip, don't behave like boris :icon_wink:

I refer the honourable gentleman to my comment on the other thread!

Underworlds album has been delayed by a cuple of weeks, so they've emailed a download of it to keep me going!

Looks like the avalanches are due to announce a new record soon.

Chemical brothers re-release surrender later this month.

Einaudi's newie (also delayed) is out later this month.

I fucking love music!

Well, talks went well and the thumbs up given........only problem being the tickets sold out in about 2 mins and I never even got into the virtual waiting room. Bastards.

Unlucky mate! Have to say its unsurprising really though isn't it? £2.50 a ticket? I debated trying to get a ticket myself.
Some of the scramble for tickets nowadays is nuts!

Not surprising at all, mainly as the venue isn't that big. The moment I got the "lots people trying to buy" message it was game over. Ah well, still got a gig the Thursday before at a venue called Nell's (near the Hammersmith Apollog apparently) and I am happy with that.

Oh lord, gonna have to do that this weekend.

I have lemon jellys debut album, which used to go for around £200. I have a couple of their early EPs too.

I have that NIN on vinyl (with the 7").
I have the pure cult 4LP box (2 live records). I also have the pink floyd pulse vinyl box. Dunno if its value dropped, as there has been a recent re-release.

This just popped up in my Spotify feed. I've not heard it before. A lovely trippy tribute to famous English cricketers.
