That Wire Box set looks great but i bet its not around after the first hour, i just picked up the original Carter release for £2, saw them loads at the time but never bought their records...its held up well i think.

exactly why i'll resist going. i'd be too pissed off to wait to get in to find stuff i wanted had already gone.
i have the 101 damnations carter from back in the day. good nick i'd think. min dicogs price valn = £5.99 :) so you did well.

quite like this. may take a punt on their album. like a cross between the uranium club and pylon.

yeah like that, a bit one paced maybe but nice.

anyway, it's 30 years on 21st since release of surfer rosa. great album and easily their best so i'm certainly happy to celebrate it.
where better to start than with the no nonsense epic first track, this is a song for fucking carol and all that.
certainly (one of) my favourites of theirs.

Went to see Bob Log III last night. So good I changed my avatar! If you're feeling a bit low, go and see Bob - guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Hilarious, unique and a genius guitar player. (Note for the guitar nerds: I have no idea if he's technically a guitar genius but it sounds ace.)

 
Watching Britpop at the BBC, affirmation all these years later about how truly wank Menswear and Gene were.

Underworld have released onto youtube and streaming services a bizarre but interesting new track called Brilliant Yes That Would Be.
James have announced a new EP for May called Better than That which appears to tie in with the apparent north of UK only tour they're doing.

I still adore the Wonder Stuff now and I will love them until the day I die. Sadly, I originally got into them just before they split so only got to see them when they first reformed at the Civic. It was still a bloody great gig.

Went to see The Wonder Stuff and Neds Atomic Dustbin last night at the Academy in Newcastle. The Stuffies are every bit as good live now as they were 30 years ago, in fact better if anything. Neds were just ok, not really enough standout songs for an hour and 15 minute set IMO. Which is a shame because on this tour the 2 bands are sharing headliner duties it seems and we got The Wonder Stuff on 1st last night and they were really so much the better band.
 
At a great ex-WMC tonight seeing Isaac Gracie in York before he hits the big time.

Tiny room, less than 250 people, should be good!
