The Music Thread Strikes Back

Great minds indeed.

I like it a lot. Not excessively satany but very musically complex

I remember him when he did the traffic and travel on Meridian. Just...how?

Following in illustrious (and inexplicable) footsteps:

I believe Bradley Walsh had the biggest selling debut album of 2016. Again, this country.

You missed Alexander Armstrong off too. Who is actually buying this shit?

Housewives faves innit.

Jason Manford is another but he can actually properly sing.

I barely know anyone who buys CDs these days. So it's old people, not content with voting for the worst political ideas ever, they're also wrecking the music charts.

That Davidson one is terrifying :icon_lol:

Can't believe you missed out Jimmy.

Tune!

Ain't No Doubt is a stone cold Yossi.

to be fair to Russ Abbot, he was a musician before he was a "comedian" back in the 60s and early 70s, albeit a very bad one...

Hmmm, not sure I should admit this, but I actually owned a Russ Abbot cassette once....

Is that Peter Ebdon one for real?!? :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

I bet you never thought you'd start a sentence in that way.

I bloody loved him when I was a kid so I feel I have to defend him as a duty to my ten-year-old self. I think it's because he dressed up as teddy boy a lot and I had a Showaddywaddy obsession.

Really?!! Reg fucking Varney! Rick Astley ok yes, maybe :)

Two Reg Varney facts for you:

1) His character was supposed to be about 35 when On The Buses started :icon_lol: Some top casting there. He was already in his 50s and didn't look good for his age

2) He was the first person in the UK to use a cash machine. I have no idea why the ATM people decided he should be the man to front that bit of their marketing

This will all come in handy one day. You'll see.

Ernie Wise was the first person to make a mobile phone call in the UK. I don't know what mind-altering substances executives were on in the 70s and 80s.

He used to live in a house next to the graveyard in Budleigh Salterton Devon after retirement. Not sure if he moved next door on expiry.
