I'm just about to start off with Reaper, first time home recording since a Teac reel to reel (Yes I'm old :) )
 
One week until Bloodstock!

Thank God I have Death Angel next Tuesday to tide me over.

Reaper is tricky.

Make sure you get lots of plug-ins for digital instruments like drums, bass, guitar, organ, synth etc

I started off with LMMS, was much easier, plus it has built in instruments.

Death Angel at the Slade Rooms were fucking magnificent on Tuesday. Got Micro to the front and the lead guitarist gave him a pick. Squeeze commented to them about it on twitter and got a nice "our pleasure - thanks for coming!" reply for making his first gig special. Ace blokes.

Support of Reign of Fury (superb) Eradicated (sort of okay) and Warbringer (stunning).

Great, great night. And VERY VERY sweaty in a packed out Slade Rooms.
 
Know there's a few fans on here... the divine comedy announce a tour, including a date at brum institute in november.
 
New QOTSA is very good. Fortress is magnificent.
 
New underworld boxset out today, but I don't have the cash for at least a month...

Pretty sure there are a couple of other albums out soon that I can't afford either.
Refuse to forgo the mogwai album though, so my bro can buy me that for my birthday!
 
new Oh Sees dropped through the post today, along with a couple other random things i didn't know i'd ordered. breakfast muff anyone?
