The Music Thread Strikes Back

I saw them support Green Day in Milton Keynes too. My wife is more of a fan than me but I quite like the first album.
 
Up there with My Chemical Romance in my most despised list of bands.

Cute without the E is a fucking abomination.
 
2014 cd likely to be this, 20 tracks 1 hr 19m, order to be sorted. had to ditch hookworms, horrors, shellac. and sleaford mods would be a bit to sweary for my mates kids!

What's the twilight sad album like? I'm hearing it works better as a whole than their previous stuff.

always tough to cull. first day of spring would have been my choice. great song. but my mates know the horrors well so may already have or be getting their album

as you know i like the Sad a lot. their first and 3rd albums are great so not sure i can agree with the sentiment of the comment made to you. but i think this is a great album, up there with ty segall and the protomartyr as my favourites of the year, but i may be biased. pitchfork gave it 5.8 but it's miles better than that imo

Must be the sign of getting old. I've had a few recently where there's been a few individuals put a dampener on gigs I've been to. My main bug bear is people who talk during a song then furiously clap once it comes to an end. But again being British we bite our upper lip, then complain about it on an internet forum after!
 
Putting up with the BBC Music Awards tonight...can someone please explain what Will.i.am is about. I just don't get the noise, sorry, "music" he does. #oldmiserablefucker

Asked the daughter the same, apparently he's some kind of wrapper ?? Taking into account that he doesn't work on a perfume counter at Christmas wrapping Channel, I have deduced that he talks instead of singing, so, he's kind of like an Alan Bennet monologue or a talking book with musical accompaniment. All I say is, Bravo Sir, for becoming a millionaire doing the aforementioned dialogue. #olderandmoremiserablethamyou

Loved the Foxygen lp this year.....reminded me that XTC should don their DOS alterego one more time.
Also that track Teenage Exorcists by Mogwai.....do more of that shit please.

My dad's got a bunch of old vinyls that he's going to get rid of and was wondering if there's anywhere he could take them, independant music shop or something i guess, and see if he can get anything for them rather than just chuck them away. Any suggestions?
