The Music Thread Strikes Back

Listened to Whiskeytown's 'Strangers Almanac' on the way to work this morning. I'd forgotten how much I was in love with that album. It was a good start to the day for a change!

Heard some of Jake Bugg's album - it actually sounds pretty decent.

Got an email top say the Frank Eddie album I ordered has been dispatched.

GIGGEDY!

Just seen the track listing for I Am Kloot's forthcoming album, and one of my favourite songs - Even the Stars - has FINALLY made it onto an album!! It's been in their repertoire for years.

Cannot wait to hear the new record - out January.

I wasn't expecting there to be many hip-hop fans on here to be honest! I think it's brilliant.

Saw Reverend and The Makers last night in Birmingham, this Manc chap called Danny Mahon as the support act was quality, first thing I done when I found out his name was get some off his tunes off iTunes.

(contains a few swear words!)

Just bought tickets to go and see Biffy Clyro in March, pre-sale FTW!

Seth Lakeman tomorrow night! :disco:

Really looking forward to that.

Just bought tickets to go and see Billy Lunn of The Subways playing a solo acoustic show in a pub in Derby, even including the cost of a hotel for the night it's still been cheaper than the tickets i bought for Biffy the other day or the Mumford & Sons tickets i got for my girlfriend.

That 2nd weekend in November is looking like a good one for me though, Brighton at home then off up to Derby after the game to that gig, spend there night there and do some shopping or whatever on the Sunday before driving back down to Birmingham to see Kevin Bridges.
