The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2024/25

Apparently Albion interviewed Russell Martin yesterday and he turned them down
Going to be a hard sell with no budget as such in January.

Probably can't afford to increase the number of mirrors around the club which put Russ off

If you believe Twitter that's the 3rd day running that's happened.

In other news Lop is managing his final West Ham game

Lop losing 5-0... as well.

Wonder how fast the grovelling to David Moyes will start after the Full time whistle

Milan sacking Paulo Fonseca, Sergio Conceicao will replace him

Moved back to the 2 games to save his job set up.

Must mean Potter isn't overly keen or they have Allegri lined up but he won't take over until the Summer.

Think they have looked at Fonseca before too and he is free now.

He's fortunate to still be there. Huge spend, rubbish football, mediocre results.

They said on the radio that Potter was 'waiting in the wings' - if he continues turning jobs down if offered he will become the forgotten man. 21 months since he left Chelsea, a long time for a manager not to be in work

I think it's just a matter of time, the fit seems obvious, there aren't many clubs at both the level he'd take and that would take him, that West Ham, Newcastle, Villa type and at 2 of those the manager looks safe

Unless he goes to a league such as Saudi where the name is all that counts then I think that's him done. I actually don't mind his punditry

Even at their 'best' Plymouth's tactics reminded me of us on a bad day under O'Neil. Ridiculously open games where they scored a few but couldn't defend at all. Away from home they were horrendous and took some right batterings. After Birmingham and now this must be finished as a coach unless he's dropping down to about League Two. I thought as a pundit he was better than expected.
