The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2024/25

Sporting look like they are sacking the dude that replaced Amorin already.

He has allowed Bruno Lage to get in a position to take the top spot off them this evening.

I feel GO genuinely believes he's too good to manage outside the PL. All his chat about how he improved Cunha and Neto to become the players they were last season, and his recent stuff about "this is the most difficult set of players I've ever managed" suggests a complete lack of self awareness in terms of both talent and experience.

He'll learn the hard way.

Sounds absurdly short term but Sunday really doesn't help him. Teams leaks goals for an entire calendar year, he leaves, low profile new guy comes in, clean sheet and easy win with no real bother.

Yes Leicester were shit but we wouldn't have won that under Gaz, sorry but no.

I heard he turned down Millwall which seems about as good an offer as he’ll get. Maybe wants time out but the reality is he’s already had a year out from sorting a defence.

The only way he'll ever manage in the PL again is if he promotes a team into it

GON will turn up on sky at some point, trotting out the excuses, and it wasn’t his fault

Imagine the media love in if he promoted them and we passed them in the other direction with the forrin fella!

No chance of them going up, they are dreadful

3 wins in 16. They aren't going up. Trust me, when have I ever let you down.

Only as high as they are due to a freakish good start over the first five games. Since mid-September their form has been abominable.

Good manager. Did very well at Bournemouth and was harshly sacked although it proved a masterstroke with his replacement. Sorted Wolves out last season and had the rug pulled from under him with Fosun’s transfer strategy this summer.

We could do a lot worse.

Oh god that would be absolutely hilarious, but i doubt it will happen.

Some fools on theshit.com are calling for Potter. And i don't think they are joking. Potter isn't going to that midden. They couldn't afford a tenth of his wages.

Yeah I'm sure Potter has turned down a few Premier League jobs as he's waiting for Albion.

Maybe they can tempt Cooper or more likely Robins

Potter being an ex player will be the general reasoning behind that shout
If they weren't having to cut costs at every turn right now it might have a degree of a possibility behind it, even if tiny.

Cooper might dodge it as well with their current issues.

Mark Robins would grab the chance if offered. Can see them asking Martin as he plays the mythical "Albion way"

Mowbray a possibility as he has said he is now ready to return to work.
