You'd think their supporters had suffered enough.

Doubt he'll be there long, and it'll be someone else's fault when he does go,or a colour issue

Sol as modest as ever today.

Brilliant isn't he.

"Macclesfield fans will probably say 'what's going on here?'" he said when asked if his appointment was a gamble.

"You've got an international footballer who has been one of the best footballers in the world coming to your club, I think there's a nice mutual balance there"

It's practically Saunders-esque.

For me we've got to get basics right, score right, cross right. The difference between the Premier League and League Two is just margins, decision-making and things like that.

You've then got that belmer Ince playing the race card by asking why Gerrard got the Rangers job whilst Campbell has to start at Macc Town.

Put "Sol Campbell is refreshingly laid-back for a man with such responsibility".

Ralph Hassenhuttl set to replace Hughes

Brazil is questioning why Saints haven't gone for Moyesie or Big Sam!

He has a very limited managerial list does Big Al and they are all old school, British drinking chums

Walking heart attack otherwise known as Alan Brazil says these things so people can call that premimum phone number sit on hold for 10 minutes and get 30 seconds to call him an idiot while his wage is being paid on that hold time

I'm surprised nobody has gone for Nathan Jones yet. A 50% win ratio at Luton Town is nothing to be sniffed at. Championship clubs should be knocking at his door and maybe Soton could get a very good manager if they were to give him a chance.

I floated him as an option to replace Jackett or Zenga a while back, seems to have Luton playing on the front foot all the time and largely getting good results from it, think they struggled a bit early on in League 1 but seem to have more than found their feet now.

They do have a good wage budget so they should've got promoted last season as they were in the top 3 (depending on source) but this season they are out performing that as they should be mid-table and he's got them 3rd.

I like his football too, very attacking.

There was a good piece on the Sky Sports website about him a few years ago that first bought him to my attention, things he'd done to gain experience and attempt to educate himself which built up the way he wanted to coach. After I'd read that I checked out a few Luton highlights and kept a loose eye on them since.

I always remember him from a few years ago when Luton put out their youth/reserve team out against West Brom in the checkatrade trophy and beat them, then obviously got a fine for not playing enough senior players. Impressive then and I've always kept a small eye on them since.

That's him done at Championship level I reckon. 3 big failures in a row.

Possibly a Rotherham or Bolton might take a punt on him

One to file as - Great coach, shit manager.

Will probably end up at a huge European club as a coach again.

Sounds like Reading are hoping to appoint......

Steve Bruce.

Idiots.

Yea but championship experience, and he'll get them promoted, apart from when he doesn't and wasted millions in the process
