The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2015/16

Yeah, Jose doesn't make up weird stories about him fighting off packs of wild dogs, nor does he pin opposition players to the floor.

I couldn't give a shit. Good manager.

Jose annoys me more than Pearson but I wouldn't say no to either.

Can't think of any better alternatives who are either unemployed or would come.

It's possible that most/all of the Championship clubs who have sacked their manager this year have approached Pearson and he's said no, but unlikely I would say. People are steering clear for a very good reason.

How's Pearson a good manager? He cocked up twice with a team that really should have run this division, finally managed to not fuck it up at the third try, and proceeded to be fucking awful for 95% of the next season.

And about their miracle run to stay up; if Sunderland under Paolo Di Canio and Gus fucking Poyet can do it, it's not that great of an achievement.

They really were fantastic the year they went up though. Best Championship side I've seen since Steve Coppell's Reading side in 05/06.

You have no God give right to get out this league, and he has barely fucked up. In the second season they missed a penalty which would have seen them in the final. 3 seasons to get a team up is standard as long as there looks like there is progression, look at MM here.

Leicester weren't shit In the PL, they were ridiculously unlucky most of the time. And yes you make your own luck but some things were ridiculous. They improved and then their luck turned and they went on a run far better than what Sunderland have done.

Hughton's Newcastle were better, surely. Also I'd take our 08/09 team in full flow over Pearson's Leicester.

He's not a bad manager at all, if it were purely on footballing grounds I'd have him here in a heartbeat. However people have to actually work with the guy, and as I say he is a very, very strange man. Easy for us to sit back and say we should just do it, but then we don't have to spend any actual time with the freakshow.

Nigel Clough going back to Burton.

I really expected Mourinho to be featuring here today after the Bournemouth result. Abramovich is showing a lot more patience than he would with any of the other managers he has appointed.

They always say never return to your former club, but Nigel Clough did a fine job there last time, so maybe he is the right man for the job.

He has to get away from that or he will put the shackles on them, which won't suit them. He knows the club well, fans will take to it id imagine too.

Burton wouldn't have gone up even if JFH had stayed. Like Walsall, their squad isn't strong enough. Clough is on a hiding to nothing really, club legend who will see them drop down the league

Stuart Gray takes over at Fulham until they find their full time manager

Monk has departed from their usual ball playing style and has tried to hit Gomis a lot earlier to bring others into play. Given that Gomis is absolute awful it's no surprise it hasn't been working. Their strength is in midfield - I don't really understand why he's tried to shift the style so much and so quickly.
