Ake gone off with what looks like a hamstring injury.

Let's hope it's the start of a big slide for them. I'd love to see them drop right down and us buy Ake off them.

If you think Ferguson shithousery is going to work more than today, then I am surprised.

Mourinho getting new bounce, fair enough. This bloke though is a glorified cone-placer.

It says more about the players confident in Silva in my view. There is plenty of talent in the Everton squad. They should not be where they are. Today shows what they can do. They bounced back well from a stuffing.

And it won't last after Druncan explains that their main motivation will be popping out for about ten pints.

VAR intervention in the Manchester derby gives United a penalty.

Manchester United have been utterly lethal on the break in this game. 2-0 up but could be 4 or 5. Shame, as we could do with a City win.

City are a shambles defensively, but we already know you can get at them on the break. United have just done exactly what we did when we played at the Etihad (they've just took their first half chances instead).

Rodri, lovely technically and brilliant passer but not convinced he can play on his own in there currently. Gets caught out a lot in transition.

City ending the half on top. Then the lack of VAR intervention at the end there will add more fuel to Peps conspiracy fire

I thought that was a penalty

Certainly not game over anyway, de Bruyne far more influential towards the end of the half

I'd have been furious if it was given against us, Fred tried to put his arms behind his back but has to brace his landing when he slides to the floor. However doing so then bought his arm back in the way, so you'd want it given if it was the opposition. I think they probably got the decision right in the end.

Never a pen. Putting your arm down to brace your fall is perfectly natural.

That is fucking shameful.

I bought a half and half Braga scarf. That sort of makes sense - our first home European game in decades. But that is like buying a half and half Albion scarf. Dear God.

If you were sitting behind him, you'd have to be tempted to throttle him with it surely? Especially when you're also losing the game 2-0, I'm taking it he's in the family enclosure (or it's equivalent).

Christ. You absolutely would. There are lines that should never be crossed.
