The Live Match Discussion Thread: 2019/2020

Alleged racist City fan has been arrested. My bet is he'll get a ban from the ground, but not be prosecuted if he denies it. CPS, burden of proof and all that.

He's also been suspended from his job pending an investigation.

I absolutely deplore racism but I'm not sure how I feel about people potentially being sacked for things they've done out of work

If it is a criminal offence, which this is, then it's fair play by the employer as far as I can see. Reputational damage risk of not doing something and all that.

Working as a supervisor role in a very reputable company he’s never going to keep his job, comes down to reputation. Also comes down to a matter of trust to.
How would you feel as an ethnic minority and him as your supervisor?

At the risk of going of at a tangent the current prime minister hasn't lost his job for multiple racist comments, if the PM hasn't, why should this guy?

That's a bit whataboutery, with all respect.

Pretty much every employer I have ever worked for has had terms in the contract allowing for dismissal for criminal conduct. I know of people dismissed because of drink driving convictions for instance.

This guy works for Kier, they are always keen on sacking people.

The game is ridiculously open, acres of space for both teams going forward.

3-1 to Leicester now. Targett very lucky to not get red for that as well.

Graeme souness - “Vardy has more chance because he has better kickers of the ball behind him”

I think he, Zaha and James are the most unlikeable trio in the PL
