Bournemouth decide to let Schlupp run through their entire team. 1-0 Palace

Amazon app on a smart TV is peachy.

If you cast from your phone then you're asking your phone to receive and then retransmit 10 Mbps at least. Plus your phone will be asking for a low resolution stream befitting it's small screen. Retransmit tgat to a 50 inch big telly and it's not going to look good.

The picture resolution and bitrate was fine when I tried it. It was just stuttering and pixellating.

BT seem to have managed fine over the last what, five years...

That's not how it works
Casting means that whatever you're casting to uses the same source as your 'phone

Mirroring requires your phone to retransmit.

The City game was fine through the PC, bit of a first world problem to moan that I have to take a few additional seconds to go and sort that out rather than just pick my phone up, but still. If someone in the exact same market as you offers a pretty flawless casting app and you fail miserably to follow suit, it's not great.

I don't want them involved, Amazon are cunts, they aren't going to offer anything new and two providers is arguably already one too many.

A few people on social media getting giddy that because they're showing every game in this round, we could have this facility for the whole competition. Nope, the law says you can't, there are hardly any scheduled midweek rounds in the PL so it's a red herring. BT are showing every game on New Year's Day, Sky show every midweek Championship game simultaneously, if they could do the same on a Saturday then they would.

And FFS, if Amazon paid billions of pounds for the rights, your Prime sub wouldn't be staying at 8 quid a month :icon_lol:

A Netflix style £10/£20 a month subscription worldwide paid directly to a PL channel is where football will be in a decade. Pubs will pay more, but Sky et al will be binned off

Well well. Sheff Utd caught out. Flag goes up (despite Carroll clearly being onside), flick on to Shelvey, ref doesn't blow his whistle. All Sheff Utd defenders stop. Goalkeeper half arsed attempt at a save. Shelvey rolls it in. Everyone chilled out. VAR gives the goal. Stupid from Sheff Utd. Play to the whistle, not the flag. I'm quite glad that one was given.

Looked unbelievably easy for Brighton to waltz through the arsenal team at times in that half. Brighton look open though, I fancy us to break on them - Traore against Burn should be a massive mismatch.

Newcastle score a goal when an onside player is flagged but the referee lets it ride and lets VAR sort it.

Jota is fuming at this news.

I’m not sure if it’s because of Steve Bruce or what but it really annoys me that Newcastle are doing well. They play the most negative football in the world but keep picking up results.

Yep - the ref fucked it for us in that one by blowing the whistle. No way could you trust the linesman's call in today's game.

If everything stays the same tonight Newcastle will be level on points with Arsenal. Good Lord.

Absolute shit house of a result for them

I don’t think I’ve seen such a bad team get so many good results.

Mooy has been very good for Brighton tonight, he's got no pace but uses the ball really well and is very "busy"
